I believe that dreams have hidden meanings. I'm so glad there are people out there studying why we dream what we dream. I took a psychology class my senior year in high school and one day we went around the classroom and told about different dreams we had and then he had this book and looked up whatever was in our dreams. It was so cool. I was totally amazed! My dream that I told him about involved me breaking some of my teeth. He looked it up and it said that means I am really stressed about something in my life right now, which was true at the time. I was going through a time where I didn’t know where I wanted to go to college or what I wanted to be, me and some of my friends that I never fight with were fighting, and my family was pressuring me to do what they wanted me to do. Maybe it’s was just a coincidence, I don’t know?
I’ve had reoccurring dreams before. When I was little I had this same dream all the time. I’m standing at the end of my drive way and these little ducks are all standing around me. I’m playing with them and just have a great time and then this huge lion comes up and starts chasing us. This isn’t just an ordinary lion; this is one that looks like he came from the movie, “The Wizard of Oz.” He was standing up on his hind legs. My parents were at the top of my drive way and I kept yelling for them but my mom never would come down there and help me. She kept saying, “There’s nothing I can do!” I was so mad at her for not helping me! I kept screaming for someone to help me and that’s always when I wake up.
Have you ever had the dream where you are searching for the bathroom and when you finally find it you wake up and you are dying to go to the bathroom? I have that dream all the time. I guess it’s your body’s way of telling you to wake up.
Sometimes I dream about people or different things I’ve seen that day. So, I would have to say that people and different objects can influence your dreams. Sometimes I can’t figure our why I dream about some things, but then I remember talking to that person or playing with that object earlier that day.

I don’t believe that dreams I have had changed me. Sometimes when the same person is in my dreams several nights in a row I’ll start to pay more attention to them. You can’t completely control what you dream about, I guess that’s one thing that amazes me the most. It’s almost like your innermost being controls what you dream about.
